Halloween Night!

One week until Christmas and I'm just now posting Halloween, I am so far behind on my posting it's unreal. Halloween was fun and my niece Kirrah even got to wear her Rapunzel wig! Everyone thought she was adorable, unfortunately my niece, Rylee, and nephew, Seth weren't able to join us. We still tried to enjoy the night though (:

Waiting for everyone to cross the street into the neighborhood!

So happy Kirrah posed for a decent picture!

Going up to all the houses to collect her candy.

Believe it or not, this pumpkin was about as tall as Kirrah! It was HUGE! All the kids were posing with it, but Kirrah said she was too scared so she just wanted to "stand back and look at it." At least she she went near it. Haha.

I'm sure I'll post again soon! (:

Fall Fun! (:

I know this post is kinda old considering we've already had snow storms giving us six inches of snow here in Indiana, but I wanted to put up some photos I got to take with my new camera. Plus my computer is down to where it won't even let me turn on without having to reset the whole thing every time I use it soooooo.... I'm borrowing my boyfriend's laptop! Yay for boyfriends! They're just practice photos so please don't judge me. Haha. (:

Just a few select ones, haha! I'll talk to you as soon as I can!

Technical Difficulties :(

I'm sorry to report that for starters this post is so late but secondly, once again my computer is out of use (meaning I'm typing this from my phone). For some reason the screen on my computer was having issues and now it won't even let me start my computer without resetting it to factory condition every use. Stand by for more information. I'll post ASAP. Thanks for being so loyal through all my computer issues. <3

As Time Passes On...

To be truthful, I didn't realize I took this long to post again. To me it feels as if my last post happened just last week. All I knew this morning walking into work was it was Tuesday, I was scheduled 6-2, and it was fall. Then suddenly it hit me when I looked at my clock in ticket... It was November 5th!!! I couldn't believe it. These past few weeks have gone by so fast I forgot time was a constant thing. I don't know what made me forget that no matter what I'm doing time is still ticking by, but somehow I forgot time existed.

Some might say that's a good thing because that means I'm enjoying myself. Ya know, the whole time flies by when you're having fun saying? I am enjoying working and finally have a social life again, yet I'm not so sure I want time to pass by as quick.

I think about how my grandpa, whom I call Pappy, just passed away and how I can remember like it was yesterday I was at him and my ma's (grandma's) house. I was riding my bike around the block when my bike tire got stuck in a crack and me being me I just kept pedaling thinking my bike would eventually move. Now that I think about it. They ended up looking for me due to the fact that I didn't realize time had gone by so quick. My point is, that's from when I was like 5 (maybe even younger) and now he's gone? It's like time moved to quick for him?

I don't want time to move to quick for me.

I really enjoy being young and my only responsibilities being the few bills I have and to show up to work on time. It scares me to think that before you know it, I'll probably have a house and a husband. I'm sure I'll enjoy my life then too. I just want a little bit more time to be.... just, well, Emily.

Soon, I'll have to start attending college. In January, that is. I'm not sure what's going to happen either. Part of me wants to chase my dream of being a fashion designer and the other part says I should get a more subtle job. I guess, only time will tell.

That's my worst nightmare right now. Time.

The Ohio Rennassance Festival!

I have to apologize it's taken me so long to post. I meant to do so all week, but with my new job it slipped my mind. I am literally about to fall asleep right now and it's only 6 when I don't go to bed until 9. I bet I'm the only 20-year-old in Indiana who goes to bed that early???

Anyway! Over one weekend I was able to attend my favorite event of the year, The Ohio Renaissance Festival! I've been able to attend this festival since I was little. I remember when I was really little and I went to go get knighted by the queen and then I was aloud to buy a princess hat. I always thought I was so cool.

This is a blast from the past and a wonderful place to take the family! There is literally something for everyone! The kids can get knighted a knight or princess, while the adults enjoy one of the shows. If I might add check out the Kamikaze Fireflies! They're my favorite. I love how they mix pop culture in with their show. They use acrobats, whips, juggling, and fire for their tricks!

^Let's be truthful, who would want to see how he got to be standing on top of a member of the audience?^

I was even lucky enough to catch a picture with the female of the group, her name is Casey... or is it Kasey? I don't know but hey, I got a photo!

Not only were the shows great, but so were some of the games. I was able to get out of my girly comfort zone and try my hand a archery! I also threw a couple axes but, sadly forgot to ask my boyfriend to take some photos. Boo! My boyfriend, Johnny, was able to throw stars, knives, axes... I was a little scared to stand at the "watching zone" behind him. Haha!

^The ground, also know as where most of my arrows hit.^

Johnny even went ahead and bought a couple throwing knifes. His excuse is he's going to learn. Now just to wait for the excuse on how he doesn't have time or how he doesn't know where to start. At least they weren't too expensive! I was able to buy a tiara (of course) and some more of my favorite NatureCraft Lip Butter. Igot "Sex on the Peach" this time. ALSO!!! I told them I wrote about them in this post and they gave me all they're information so everyone can find them!

You can also find them on Facebook (click here!) and Twitter! (click here!)

It was an amazing day! Now it's time for me to finish my coffee and head to bed. I'm so tired from today this coffee isn't even helping!

Rapunzel Hair Headband! - Five Easy Steps!

What do you do when your four year old niece tells you about how much she wants hair like Rapunzel's? Oh, that's right! You make her some Rapunzel hair out of yarn. This project actually worked out nice because after I made this "wig" my niece Kirrah decided to be Rapunzel for Halloween. I decided to TRY to (try being the keyword there) do a tutorial on the "wig." It's very easy and you can change the hair color how it's braided and even whether you have flowers or not! Enjoy!

Materials Needed!

- one skein of yarn in any color
- scissors
- fake flowers (optional)
- a handful of small rubber bands
- hot glue gun

Step One: You'll need to cut all your yarn. You can use whatever color you'd like. For Kirrah I used pieces that were three yards long. When deciding how long to cut the original pieces please keep in mind that braiding, it being wrapped around the head, and cutting it to a appropriate length will shorten the pieces in the long run. Cut as many pieces as you'd like the "wig" to be thick. (Don't use the whole skein, you'll need some left over)

Take the left over yarn and cut it into a desired length. For this part I only cut the yarn about six inches long. tie a tight knot at one end, braid all the way down and secure with another tight knot. Set this aside for a later step.

Step Two: Once you've gathered all the cuts of yarn, separate them into three sections. Here's where it can get tricky. I made Kirrah's so it was three braids braided together. If you only want it to be one large braid, tie the three sections TOGETHER in a knot at one end. If you want three little braids braided together tie the sections SEPARATE from each other. Make sure your knots are loose so you can undo them in the end.

If you're making one large braid, braid all the way to the end and secure it with a rubber band or loose knot... then go along to the next step!

Once you've braided you're three smaller sections, take a small rubber band and join them together at one end. Go on to braid the three sections and rubber band them at the other end.

Step Three: Take your long braid and and wrap it around the child you're making it for's head. Make sure the ends match up and that you don't make the "wig" too tight or loose. Secure that spot with a small rubber band, or two.

Now, if you are making one large braid undo the remaining braids and separate into three sections to braid your main braid!

If you are doing smaller braids into one large one, undo the two largest braids but, DO NOT UNDO your smaller braids. Sections them off into three sections and braid to the end.

Secure the end with one small rubber band. Take a section, braided or not. and wrap it around the rubber band to cover it. when you've wrapped it all the way around(make sure it's pulled tight), tuck the end of that section into it's beginning and the rubber band. Use a hot glue gun to make sure it'll stay put.

If you did the smaller braids into a larger one undo the smaller braids and trim the yarn to match up in length.

Step Four: Take your smaller braid that was set aside in Step One. Where the headband part and the main braid part meet, hot glue one of the ends to the back. One dry wrap the small braid around to hide the rubber bands. Be sure to do this tight. I wrapped mine around twice. Hot glue the remaining end to the back.

If you do not want to add flowers, congrats! You're done!

Step Five: For your final step, take the fake flowers off their bouquets and place them on the braid to see where you'd like them. Once you're happy with how it looks, simply lift up the flower, put a dot of hot glue where it was placed, and press the flower into the glue. Tie a bow around the braid somewhere if you'd like and you're done!

YAY YOU DID IT!!! (:

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati!!!

So this time I went to Oktoberfest Zinzinnati (Cincinnati). Sadly, I didn't take that many photos what-so-ever. Mainly because I forgot with a little mix of the place being so crowded I could get a good view of anything! I love Oktoberfest, but that was Oktoberfest gone wild! It was very crowded and some people were kinda rude. Plus, I thought it was REALLY pricey.

My boyfriend's dad had to play his horn at "The Uber Dome." At first I thought it was going to be so much fun! Then I saw the price for VIP. Which my boyfriends dad paid for, but I couldn't believe it! We only got one drink and one trip to the buffet. You'd think that'd be enough except they suggested to get your moneys worth to use your drink ticket for beer (which I can't get). The issue with food was they only had five things to choose from and when we got up there everything was almost gone! I got a pretzel stick with cheese, a piece of chicken, and some apple strudel and on top of that we had to go buy our own pops.

The seating there was awful as well. It was VIP but all you could see of the stage was speakers! I was really disappointed because they did a funny skit, but in my photos everyone in the skit is blocked by the speakers. So all I have is a picture of the view outside the dome. It's very pretty, I just wish I could have some photos with more German culture to show you guys.

Don't even get me started on those dirndl costumes! Not the actual dirndls but the ones from costume stores. All I can say is COVER UP! If you were at a adult halloween party whatever do what you want, but there are children around!

I should probably go take a deep breathe and count to ten.

Cross Stitch IPhone Case!

Sorry this post took so long! I had to get my sisters permission to put my niece's actual picture on my blog. My niece, Kirrah, told me she wanted to "model" for my blog and I can't turn that face down!

I absolutely love this phone case! Its a silicon cross stitch phone case for iPhone. They have them for the 4/4S or for the 5. I got my first one from Walmart for around six dollars. I wasn't too happy though because the patterns the IPhone 4/4S aren't as cute as the one for the five. The five had stripes and chevron while the 4/4S has a cupcake and the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is cute but I really want the chevron (it's my latest obsession.) Plus, Walmart only had black when the box showed a pink phone case.

Luckily, though, while I was at Joann's I found the colored ones! So of course I had to pick out my favorite color purple!

So I decided to make my own pattern! I googled a template and got to work! Feel free to steal it and change the name!

I plan on making some patterns for these phone cases for those of us who would like something other than what the kit offers. My only issue is targeting the range of personalities. If you have any ideas COMMENT BELOW! Thanks!
It's just like normal cross stitch, but on a phone case. No big difference. If you don't know how to cross stitch, yet still want to purchase a kit the instructions does show you how to cross stitch so no worries!

I absolutely love how everything turned out! I'm gonna go work on those patterns!

My Favorite Beauty Products!

I'm going to warn you guys, I wear barely any make up. Most of the time I don't wear make up at all! I'm not a make up expert what-so-ever! This is just about products I use and love. Maybe I'll show you all my routine for when I wear make up another time. For right now, I'll just discuss my favorite products.

So I'm broke therefore there will be no Mac, Dior, or anything like that on here. There will be a lot of CoverGirl, though. All my make up is bought from the Walgreen's down the street from me. Not only is it close, but I get my sister's employee discount. Ha ha.

Concealer- For my concealer I use CoverGirl's "fresh complexion." I just dab it on, then blend it with my fingers. I works really well and you don't need that much to get a good covering.

Foundation- Now foundation is something I rarely use. I do keep some on hand, though. I use CoverGirl's "Clean Oil Control Liquid Make Up." Whoo! That's a logn name. I use oil control because I have really oily skin. If anyone know's some tricks to help oily skin, please comment below!

Powder- Powder is my best friend! Loose powder to be exact. It helps with that whole oily face issue more than you could imagine! I use CoverGirl's "Professional Loose Powder." I apply it with a powder blush all over my face and it works wonders!

Blush- Now my blush is actually a blush my mom bought, but didn't like so she gave it to me. It's Lacura's "Powder Blush" in Sunset. I love it because it gives me such a natural look and blends well.

Bronzer- For my bronzer I use Elf 's... well... bronzer. Seriously that's the name! The shade I use is glow. All you need is a little bit and it goes a long way! Good product for only a dollar!

Mascara- Now my mascara isn't as cheap as other mascara's I've used. I use L'Oreal's "Voluminous Million Lashes." Spend the money! You won't regret it! When I started using this mascara all my friend's thought I had fake lashes on! You will NOT regret this buy!

Eyebrows- I actually just started filling in my eyebrows. Only because my eyebrows are so light I could find a could pencil that didn't look too fake. So natural blonde's, this might help you! I use Milani's "Easybrow" in dark brown. I know, I know... dark brown. but it doesn't come out that dark and it was the lightest shade they had. It's the best brow pencil I've had so far!

Eye Shadow- I'm getting tired of typing CoverGirl. Haha. It's CoverGirl's "Exact Eyelights" for blue eyes. I love how natural this eye shadow is and pretty it makes my eye's look!

Eye liner- So My eyeliner is from Walgreen's. It's Jordana's "Easy Liner for Eyes" in coffee bean. I use a brown to help my eye's look even more blue than they already are.

Chapstick- I don't know if you'll be able to find this chap stick. My sister bought in for me at our local renaissance festival. It's suppose to be all natural I think? It's NatureCraft's "Beeswax Lip Butter" in Dreamsicle. You have to be careful cause it melts easily, but it get's my lips so soft!

Lipstick- I barely get to wear my lipstick, but I do have a favorite brand and shade! I use Maybelline's "Color Sensational" in vibrant mandarin. This lipstick feels like it's a chap stick, but gives such a beautiful color! The shade is a amazing color for anyone who is pale, like me, and scared to try a red lipstick!

So that's all that is used to make this face! Haha. I hope guys enjoyed this!

Hair Tutorial or No?

So I'm absolutely in love with how i did my messy bun one day and whenever I wear my hair this way I get tons of compliments and asked how I did it so... I figured maybe I should do a hair tutorial??? COMMENT BELOW ON WHETHER i SHOULD DO ONE! (:

My Current Favorite Songs!

I'm the type of person who will listen to a song on repeat until I get sick of it. Sadly, it takes awhile for me to get sick of it and I can fall in love with a song in a blink of a eye. Now I'm going to warn you, these aren't all new songs. I have a tendency to also fall in love with songs that might be older. Along with my new current favorites I've recently become addicted to One Direction. I know, I know... I must live under a rock. It was just maybe five months ago that my friend was teaching me all their names and now all of a sudden I'm determined to marry Harry Styles one day. I mean just look at him!

Not only does he have an amazing smile (with those dimples!) but he has how many tattoos?! Enough said! Give me the ring! It's a done deal!

I should probably write about the music now huh??? Warning: these are in no specific order! <3

I Want- One Direction
(considering my new obsession there was obviously going to be one of their songs on here!)

Heartbreak Girl- 5 Seconds of Summer
(I actually just heard about them when I watched a cover done by Troye Sivan! Go watch it! He's adorable!)

Love on Top- Beyonce
(To be truthful I'm addicted to Heathertraska's version more than Beyonce's. It's just Heather's voice! Watch Heather!)

Roar- Katy Perry
(Okay, let's be for real her. Katy Perry. Enough said. I about cried when she burned her wig, but  I love her new image she made for herself)

Popular Song- Mika ft. Ariana Grande
(I have no idea how I came across this song but it is wayyyyy too catchy to stop listening to! Honestly, just check it out)

I am enjoying one other song, but sadly I'm not enjoying her performances. I'm sure some of you are but it's just not "my thing." So I'm sorry if this makes you mad in any way shape or form. The other song is...

Wrecking Ball- Miley Cyrus

Her VMA performance wasn't the most appropriate and the music video definitely made me cringe, but hey a good song is a good song.
